Excavation and Trenching for Site Utilities
Global specializes in installation of site utilities ranging from Electrical and Communications to
Water and Sewer Lines to Site Lighting. Global uses of a variety of equipment designed to meet
the needs of every type of project. Whether your project requires an open trench ranging from
8" wide to several feet wide, Global has the excavators, backhoes, trenchers, vibratory plows,
mini excavators, hydro excavators and directional boring machines to efficiently and effectively complete your project.
We offer several methods of installation to fit your project needs:
- Excavation with Excavators and Backhoes for your large excavation needs.
- Trenching with large or small Trenchers depending on the depths and widths required.
- Vibratory Plowing of conduit up to 2" diameter which can offer a substantial savings over traditional open trenching.
- Hydro Excavation for projects with several known or unknown utilities, drains or irrigation pipes in the proposed dig area. See additional information below.
- Directional Boring for a variety of projects. See additional information below.
- Hole Boring with Augers on Skid Steer Loaders and Line Trucks for a variety of tasks.
We also provide saw cutting services when excavating through existing asphalt or concrete as required. We then replace the removed surface once the excavation is complete.

Concrete Placement
Global has the capability to supply quality products for challenging projects. We work with many clients on projects of various complexities. Our team of professionals work closely with our clients to ensure the mix is designed per plans and specifications and meets the highest standards of quality provided on every project.
Directional Boring
Global has extensive experience in underground utility construction. Today, clients are concerned about the environment, the use of less destructive methods, and cost. Directional boring provides the means to complete many installations with minimal site disruption at a significant cost savings compared to traditional excavation methods where the site needs to be restored to its’ preconstruction state. A directional bore results in a comparatively small entry and exit hole without having to disrupt the environment and is a method that minimizes restoration and complies with state and federal regulations.
Global utilizes directional boring to go under parking lots, drives and sidewalks. This results in significant cost savings by eliminating the need to remove and replace those surfaces. Open excavation would also require hauling off of excess spoil and installation of approved granular materials before the asphalt or concrete surface is replaced.
Global also provides directional boring services in grass and landscape areas where maintaining those areas is of paramount importance. Boring under trees is much less damaging than excavating next to trees where roots can be damaged threatening the life of the trees. Planter areas, irrigated areas and other grass landscapes may also be areas where directional boring is the best option.

Hydro Excavation
Global is on the leading edge of the Hydro Excavation trend. Hydro excavation utilizes water to safely excavate through dirt without damaging existing conduits or direct buried wires. The pressure wand breaks up the dirt which is removed via a large vacuum, while exposing wires and conduits without damaging them.
Hydro Excavation is ideal for situations when there are several known or unknown utilities in a proposed area of excavation. Your trench can be completed with peace of mind that existing utilities won’t be damaged. If your job site has fiber optics, phone lines, gas lines, electrical lines, drains, cable t.v., irrigation, etc. running through the dig area and you do not know exactly where the lines are located, then hydro excavation is the perfect fit for that project!

Light Pole Bases & Setting of Steel, Concrete or Wood Poles
Global is the area leader in installation of concrete light pole bases. Our turn key operation includes not only setting up and pouring light pole bases, but also the installation of continuous roll conduit (UL-Listed Schedule 40 poly tube) or pvc as required. We have the capability of setting the light poles on the concrete bases after the concrete has cured. All the electrician needs to do is survey the light pole bases, provide anchor bolts, ground rods and wire and pull the wire!

Utility Division
Global has a Utility Division which provides full site preparation for electrical sub-stations. We complete site grading, stone placement, conduit and grounding. Global can perform all your concrete needs including caissons thru dirt or rock, mat/pier foundations, transformer pads and oil containment pits and all other concrete foundations for your substation needs.
